Terms of Service

1. Service description

Promonaut is a Shopify application that measures promotional incrementality — whether your discount codes drive genuinely extra sales. The service includes Historical Promo Health Reports, A/B testing with control groups via Smart Links, statistical analysis, and recommendations.

2. Eligibility

Promonaut is available to Shopify merchants with an active Shopify store. By installing the app, you represent that you have authority to bind your business to these terms.

3. Account and access

Access to Promonaut is managed through your Shopify account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify credentials. Promonaut does not create separate accounts or passwords.

4. Free and paid plans

• Free plan — includes the Historical Promo Health Report at no cost, indefinitely.
• Pro plan ($149/month) — includes unlimited experiments, Smart Link distribution, early probability estimates, recommendations, and auto-pause rules. Billed monthly through Shopify.
• Free trial — new installs receive a 21-day free trial of Pro. No credit card required. After the trial, your account reverts to the Free plan unless you subscribe.

5. Payment and billing

Pro plan charges are billed through Shopify's billing system. By subscribing, you authorize Shopify to charge the applicable fees to your payment method on file. Promonaut does not directly process payments or store payment information.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time by uninstalling the app or downgrading through the Shopify admin. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Promonaut to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the application
• Use the service to transmit malicious code or interfere with other users
• Resell or redistribute access to Promonaut without our written permission

8. Data and privacy

Your use of Promonaut is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you consent to the data practices described therein.

9. Intellectual property

Promonaut and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Promonaut and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours — we claim no ownership of store data processed through the service.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Promonaut is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Statistical results are estimates based on observed data, not guarantees of future promotional performance. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate in all circumstances.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Promonaut shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, profits, or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Promonaut at any time for violation of these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Promonaut after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
